Lapidary

The lapidary collection is displayed chronologically: Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. Among the pieces we find altar stones, gravestones, and notable examples of inscriptions. Particularly outstanding is the series of capitals, which offers an insight into the evolution of this architectural element during the Romanesque and Gothic periods. Equally important are the pieces and fragments from the Romanesque cathedral in Vic.
