Memories of glass. Great mediaeval stained-glass windows of France

The exhibition is the result of the collaboration between the Episcopal Museum of Vic and the Musée des Monuments Français in Paris, which conserves among its collections a series of reproductions of mediaeval stained-glass windows, most of them from cathedrals. The interest of the exhibition of these stained-glass windows, made using the traditional techniques and at the same scale as the originals, most of them over four metres high, lies in the possibility of seeing them at close range; in this way one can clearly see the charm of the relationship established between light and colour, and the precision and softness of the chiaroscuros.
